PROGETTO CMR
Massimo Roj graduates in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 1986.
After having worked in internationally renowned firms, in 1994 he founded Progetto CMR in Milan, today a leading integrated design firm in Italy and listed in the BD World Architecture chart of the top 100 design practices around the world. Heading the Group of the same name, with companies that range from the design of office and sports facilities to digitalization and BIM, Progetto CMR employs today more than 200 professionals, including architects, civil and plant engineers, space planning experts, project managers, designers, environmental certification experts.
Along his strong professional career, Roj has gained a significant experience in Italy and abroad in the fields of urban regeneration, building design and space optimization for both private and public clients. In his projects, Roj applies innovative design and technological solutions, while promoting a sustainable approach that centers on the environment, the society and the economy.
Roj regularly joins international meetings and conferences about architecture and sustainability. Amongst his latest publications: “Rocktecture”, “InsideOut Design” and “Less Ego More Eco – Towards shared sustainability”.
He is Visiting Professor at the Tianjin University, the Beijing Jiaotong University and Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan. Since 2017, he is Ambassador of Italian Design in the World, officially appointed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
