Mario Deaglio

Professor Emeritus of international economics at the University of Turin, Deaglio has spent much of his career studying the processes of globalization and the structures of the principal capitalistic economies in the modern era of globalization. In contemporary, Deaglio has pursued a career in journalism; he started by writing for “The Economist” and also served as Editor-in-Chief of “il Sole 24 Ore”, Italy’s leading business daily.

He currently writes op-eds for “La Stampa”, the country’s third largest newspaper. Deaglio coordinates (as well as writes a substantial part of) the annual Report on the global economy and Italy for the think-tank Centro Einaudi.
