Convivit
Andrea Mecenero is the CEO of Convivit, a joint venture between Generali Welion and the Boost Innovation Fund of CDP Venture Capital SGR. Founded in June 2021, Convivit aims to address self-sufficient older adults and introduce senior living in Italy, thanks to a new housing model that promotes psychophysical well-being and active aging: independent, modern, and comfortable units, inserted in a context with common spaces and services, mediated by a digital platform specifically designed for seniors.
Previously, Andrea Mecenero gained significant experience in the healthcare industry and in assisted living services. Until 2019, as CEO, he led the entire Italian network of Korian group, one of the major European players in social and health services for the elderly, managing about 60 facilities including nursing homes, day centers, rehabilitation clinics and home care centers.
From 2003 to 2018 he held various managerial positions within Gruppo San Donato, the largest private hospital group in Italy: he was the CEO of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato and Casa di Cura la Madonnina in Milan, as well as of the transversal operating consortium for the integration between the different companies of the group.
Graduated with honors in Political Economy at Bocconi University in Milan, he was born in Vicenza in 1975.
