Gian Carlo Magnoli, President of Magnoli & Partners (an Edison NEXT company), architect, he worked as a freelance form 1993 and he developed his works in many Italian and international cities such as Milan, Bergamo, Rome, London, Boston, New York and Athens.
Listed many times among the 100 Best Italian Architects (classifica Class 2008, classifica Guarnari 2021), he was Director at Prisma and Head of SMARTECO, EU projects on sustainable building, R&D designer of Kilometrorosso Scientific Park, co-designer of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) House of the Future prototype and co-director of MIT Kinetic Design Group Laboratory.
He is sustainable urban development consultant for the United Nations. He contributed to the design of recent urban regeneration activities in Piedmont, Veneto and Lombardy, such as Porta Nuova in Milan. He was consultant at the Social Housing Foundation (Milan).
He taught and held conferences in Europe, US, Latin America and Asia regarding architecture and sustainable urbanism. He was Director at C.A.S.A. (Centro Architettura Sostenibile Ambientale) in Dalmine (BG) and he was involved in educational and research activities with Politecnico di Milano, Pontificia Università Cattolica del Cile and MIT.
He held courses at Edimburgh University and at the Engineering Faculty of Bergamo University.
He was Director of Audis, an independent association with public and private actors born in 1995 with the aim of offering support to private and public operators engaged in urban regeneration processes.
